About

b. 1986, HK.

I’m Mike, a Graphic Design Director working under the name Boult.

I’ve worked in the industry for over 25 years cutting my teeth in leading London agencies and studios from a Junior through to heading up design departments and running lead accounts and projects. I’ve rebranded multinational corporations and high street names, designed campaigns and rolled out store design and fits, directed countless photoshoots and launched numerous brands.

Around 5 years ago I decided to head out to follow my own path. I’ve always loved the work, the ‘getting my hands dirty’, meeting people and all stages of the design process, so this seemed like the best idea. I never wanted to be manager, I still loved the art and challenge of design, dealing with my clients first hand and the everyday doing.

I haven’t looked back.

I’ve been lucky enough to work with a wide selection of wonderful clients, from big corporations through to start-ups and entrepreneurs. I deliver a wide of jobs and skills but my core interest and passion has always been brand and brand strategy and the variety and scope that brings. I think the best description of what I do that I’ve ever come across is a visual storyteller; love it, what a wonderful way to describe how you earn a living!

The most important aspect of my work is the relationships I have built and kept over the years, it’s those relationships that have allowed me to keep creating new things for so long.
